We took over the resort in April 2024 and renovated it piece by piece. And now we are overjoyed that just a few weeks after the reopening, the first periods are fully booked. With many old guests who still know the resort from before 2020 and many new, wonderful people who are discovering the island and our resort in a completely new way. We are a family business and for us, every guest is another incentive for our vision of sustainable tourism away from the centres. We hope and wish that you too will succumb to the magic of this island, just as we do every day anew when the sun rises over our resort and the hornbills come by for breakfast.

The history of the island is full of myths and stories about those who have been inhabiting this and the surrounding islands for 1000s of years. Their frugal, less sedentary tradition is always reflected in their hospitality and warm welcome on the island. On Koh Bulon, emphasis is placed on sustainability, on not plundering natural resources and carefully preventing mass tourism from changing the face of the island to the detriment of its inhabitants. Therefore, the majority of the population still lives from fishing, from shellfish collecting on the beaches, which makes a variety of marine animals visible in the stony ground at low tide, or from the rubber tree plantations that exist in the south near Mango Bay.

The entire west of the island consists of dense, untouched forests that serve as breeding and nesting grounds for a variety of birds. Aprospos birds. Our heraldic animal, the hornbill, is also back. In real life and as a couple, you usually have breakfast with us. And a white-tailed eagle is also an integral part of our fish-rich bay. But you can see them all for yourself.
